For our 10:00 hike from Aquadome, our hiking guide, Patrizia, took us on a panoramic view of the Eagle's View (Adlerblick) near Langenfeld, Austria.
We were supplied with a small backpack that carried additional water, apples, and ice cleat crampons (for putting on boots). She then ordered two taxis to take us to the beginning of the hike near Giles (a short distance away from Aquadome in Langenfeld).
Since the trail up and down was iced over (and very slippery), Inna and I attached the crampons to our boots. It was much easier and safer to walk on ice with these crampons. Alex chose not to attach them to his boots and had to carefully tread on snow.
We stopped at a few scenic overlooks of Langenfeld (taking many photos) and at a couple of ice waterfalls. After a short stop, we hiked down to the village of Dorf, passing the Oswald Chapel and the beautiful Lourdes Chapel.
Since Alex needed to use the restroom, Patrizia ordered a hotel taxi to take us back to the hotel. Overall, the hike was very nice and the weather was perfect.
