Today, we saw a small production of Master & Margarita in Palo Alto. On the way there, we stopped by for dinner at Ettan (a very fancy, and hard to get into Indian Restaurant).
Master & Margarita is a one my wife's favorite novels and she enjoyed seeing on stage.
According to Wikipedia:
The story concerns a visit by the devil and his entourage to the officially atheistic Soviet Union. The devil, manifested as one Professor Woland, challenges the Soviet citizens' beliefs towards religion and condemns their behavior throughout the book. The Master and Margarita combines supernatural elements with satirical dark comedy and Christian philosophy, defying categorization within a single genre.
We enjoyed the performance and especially the characters of Begemot (Behemoth), Woland, Korovyev, Master, and Margarita.
