The Tudors at the Legion of Honor

As a Legion of Honor Museum member, Inna and I decided to visit the Tudors exhibit, which is running until September 23, 2023.

Our drive from San Jose to San Francisco was uneventful, and we parked at Crissy Field at 13:00. We walked along Marina Blvd toward Scott Street (where we used to rent an Airbnb). On Scott Street, we turned left on Chestnut Street and stopped by our favorite Cracked & Battered eatery.

We sat down and ordered the following items while enjoying the beautiful day outside:

  • Boris: Chicken & Waffles
  • Inna: Nasi Goreng

I really enjoyed the delicious Belgian Waffle and the sumptuous chicken. Inna also liked her Nasi Goreng.

After lunch, we stopped by for coffee at Cafe Reveille, next door. I drank a delicious Mocha while watching all the dogs stroll by.

At around 14:30, we returned to our Sienna minivan parked at Crissy Field and drove 15 minutes to the Legion of Honor Museum. The Tudor sign was on display, and we found parking nearby.

We walked downstairs to see the Tudor collection, which consisted of various artifacts, including paintings of King Henry VIII, Queen Elizabeth I, and other royalty. It was a small collection but enjoyable to see.

At around 17:00, we decided to try eating dinner nearby. After looking at high-rated restaurants in the area, we settled on Pearl 6101.

We parked the van nearby and ordered the following:

  • Appetizer: Roasted Cauliflower
  • Boris: Handkerchief (white bolognese, grana paadano, black pepper)
  • Inna: Seared Scallops (Spaetzle, grilled corn, braised onions)
  • Dessert: Chocolate Pudding
Inna raved about her Seared Scallops, but I was not overly impressed with the Handkerchief bolognese pasta.
