For Inna's big birthday, I made reservations for Thursday, February 23rd, at our favorite Michelin Star-rated local restaurant nearby - The Plumed Horse.
The San Francisco Bay area was experiencing a powerful winter storm, with temperatures plunging into the low 40s and periods of heavy rain. We drove to Saratoga without issues, and I parked my minivan nearby.
After being seated, we were presented with the Chef's Tasting Menu - the only menu available. Usually, the A La Carte Menu is also available.
On the menu, we had the following list of menu courses (we ordered identical courses) at $225 per person.
- Wild Albacore Tuna
- Black Pepper & Parmesan Souffle (our usual standout favorite)
- Mt. Lassen Trout
- Alsatian Onion Tarte
- Fogline Farm Chicken
- Brandt Beef Tenderloin
- Coconut Sorbet
- Valrhona Manjar Cremeux
- Cookies & Birthday Candle
For drinks, I ordered a Cadillac Margarita, and Inna ordered one of the other drinks.
