For Mother's Day, Inna made dinner reservations at the modern French Deuxave restaurant in Back Bay, Boston.
After returning from our weekend trip to Portland, Maine, we rested in our apartment at 334 Harvard Street and ordered Uber to Deuxave. It was only 2 miles away and took 10 minutes to get there.
When we arrived for our scheduled 19:45 dinner, our table was still busy, and we waited for about 15 minutes for our table to clear up. Once seated, we looked over the menus and ordered the following items:
- Appetizer: Oliver & Rosemary Focaccia bread
- Alex: 9-Hour French Onion Soup, Tagliatelle "Bolognese"
- Boris: Salad, Tagliatelle "Bolognese"
- Inna: 9-Hour French Onion Soup, Ahi Tuna, Muscat
- Dessert: Chocolate Souffle
The waiter was very slow in bringing us water and Inna's wine. Perhaps he was swamped on this Mother's Day.
I liked my salad and Tagliatelle, but they were overpriced. Inna and Alex liked their 9-hour French Onion Soup. Inna also enjoyed her Ahi Tuna.
Our dinner at Solo in Portland, Maine, was cheaper and superior overall. Deuxave's service was relatively slow and not as friendly or helpful as in Solo.
