A Brief stop at Portsmouth, New Hampshire

On Sunday, May 8, 2022, on the way back to Boston from Portland, Maine, we decided to stop by briefly at Portsmouth, New Hampshire, to explore the town and city its best attractions.

Our first destination was Prescott Park. Once we crossed from Maine to New Hampshire over the Memorial Bridge, we immediately looped around to Prescott Park. Since there was no parking there, I decided to park at the Strawberry Banke Museum nearby. We walked around Prescott Park but found the blistering wind too chilly. We decided to proceed to Market Square to see the leading downtown shops.

When we reached Market Square, we noticed the famous 2 Congress Square building where George Washington announced the Declaration of Independence. From there, we proceeded west, with Inna stopping in a few shops (like Fatface) to look at Portsmouth's unique clothing and accessories.

After some strolling around, we decided to skip lunch (as we were not hungry after eating the breakfast biscuits in Maine (and proceed to deCordova Sculpture Park on the outskirts of Boston.
