Today, I played a USTA Men's 40+ 3.5 doubles tennis match against Courtside Club's D2 team (Peter Rule and Srinivasan Seshadri). My partner was Warlin Pantoj (Lance), with whom I played a few sets at practice. Lane has an excellent serve, but it's also a bit inconsistent.
We didn't play very well in the first set, losing to Courtside Club 2-6. The main issue was my nervousness, which caused too many severe double faults.
In the second set, we came back strong, winning 6-4. My serves became more consistent, and I won most of my serve games.
In the 10-point tie-break, we lost 7-10. My biggest weakness was the inconsistency of my serve. I had too many double faults, and this prevented an easy win.
