I was excited when Tony invited me to play golf at Pruneridge Golf Club. Although I took golf lessons many years ago and played miniature golf multiple times, I have never played a real game of golf.
I met Tony at the Pruneridge Golf Club parking lot at around 8:15 a.m. Very thoughtfully, Tony brought over two sets of clubs - one for me and one for him (I thought I would rent a set of clubs). In addition, Tony prepaid for my golf game in advance(which was also very thoughtful!)
Tony and I first went to the driving range to warm up, where I hit many golf balls with the 7 Iron and the Driver. It was hard to beat the balls high up. Since Tony booked the course to start at 8:30 a.m., we had to hurry to play all the holes.
I had difficulty using the Driver to hit the ball high in the air. I could hit it straight, but not with too much power, as I lost control. Putting was much easier for me (as I had practiced putting when I played miniature golf).
I ended up in the sand trap a couple of times and had to hit balls out of there. It was fun!
Tony and I had a lot of fun playing the 9 holes of golf in about 90 minutes. One of the most complex parts was finding the ball after it's been hit.
I need more practice hitting the ball further and need to spend more time on the driving range.
