After a long wait for cooler weather, it was time to resume off-road motorcycling at Hollister Hills SVRA. Hollister was buzzing with dirt bikers like in the On Any Sunday movie.
This time, I decided to record all my trail rides using Strava. I usually only use Strava to record my mountain bike rides and hikes, but recording segment times for various trails might be helpful to see if I am improving my overall time.
Because I have not ridden my Yamaha WR-250F since June, I started slowly and built up to the more challenging trails.
After a few laps around the TT Track, I rode the Harmony Gate Trail. I followed this up with a ride on Rancho Road and Four Corners Road. I stopped by my van for a snack and a water refreshment.
I also rode many laps around the TT rack and Lodge Track, working on my braking, shifting, turning, body position, and smoothness. I still have a long way to go!
Here is a GoPro Hero6 video of my last ride on the Harmony Gate trail:
Overall, it was a great day of riding. I logged 35 miles and 1.45 hours of actual in-the-seat time.
