Hiking Presidio and visiting The Legion of Honor

In the morning, after checking San Francisco and Santa Cruz weather, we decided to drive to San Francisco's Presidio and hike around to the Golden Gate Bridge.

We have previously hiked the Lands End Trail, but we wanted to try a different hike this time. After looking at the list of possible hikes on Alltrails, we decided to hike the Presidio Promenade trail, which meanders through Presidio and onto the Golden Gate Bridge.

After parking at a parking lot (and paying a two-hour parking fee), we started the hike. The trail had "Presidio Promenade" markings, so we knew that we were on the trail. It took us over an hour to reach the Golden Gate Bridge, covered in fog. We walked on the bridge for a bit and then returned for a walk along Crissy Field, which had experienced significant redevelopment. Eventually, we returned to our car and decided to head out for lunch.

Inna found a well-rated restaurant nearby - Saiwalks Cafe - and we drove there. Luckily, we parked right next to the restaurant. Alex ordered Pho Bo (beef bone broth)), which was delicious), while Inna tried a Vermicelli bowl. Being hungry, I called a Pho Comfort (chicken bone broth). The portions of Pho were gigantic, but we finished them all (being so hungry from the hike).

After lunch, we decided to visit the nearby Legion of Honor Museum, which displayed a new Degas Exhibit. Since Inna was a member, she got a free ticket for Alex and me. Inna got to try out multiple hats and bonnets after the exhibition.

Alex didn't want to see the paintings but kept quiet. We enjoyed the Renoirs on display and some French hats and bonnets. The actual Degas paintings were not very impressive.

After we finished with the museum, we decided to go for another short hike to Lands End. We did not get far; Aa's knee started hurting, and she did not want to walk uphill.

After an hour of hiking, we returned and decided to stop by at the Russian Bakery Cinderella. I ordered the "Cherry Vareniki" (boiled dumplings with stuffed sour cherries), while Inna ordered "Salad Olivie" and "Beef Pelmeni." The dumplings were satisfactory. After dining in Vienna, I was used to delicious food and now had to adjust my expectations slightly.
